Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Tonight I'm just chilling at home, but on Wednesday night, me, my brother and boyfriend went out to our annual Halloween night out at Discord in Bath (it's an amazing rock club!). I thought I'd share our costumes on here. I paid just under £50 for 3 matching costumes, which isn't too bad considering I spend £45 on one outfit last year! We went as zombie chefs, well my brother was a zombie butcher. I do love dressing up for Halloween!

What I've been wearing - Primark overload

Hey!

I know it's been a while but I have been super busy! No excuse I know, especially as I will soon be working full time again which means 50+ hour weeks :( but I am determind to get back into blogging and spend a dedicated amount of time to it each week. I love being a teacher but it takes over your life to the extent that you don't think about much else!

Anyway, onto today's post. These photos were taken quite a few weeks ago now, but I have seen the trousers on sale recently. I wore this outfit for a meal out (a little over dressed for Harvester!) on a Saturday night. The shirt is a basic one from Primark, which I own in several colours! The only thing I dislike is that they are sometimes quite see-through. I bought the matching top to go with the trousers, but wasn't quite brave enough to wear it together! The yellow blazer is also from Primark. Yellow is a colour I've only really got into this year. I loved wearing bright yellow in the summer, and now find myself buying lots of mustard colours this Autumn. The shoes are from Miss Selfridge. They are incredibly hard to walk in, and I can't last in them for very long! But I do love them. My bag is from New Look - a clutch is a staple for me on a night out.

Well this is my first proper outfit post. I love fashion and really want my blog to develop into a fashion based blog (rather than one where I just talk about my career!) Please let me know if this is a suitable outfit post!

Weekly write up no. 6

Hello!

This will most likely be a short post from me today, as it's not even 7pm yet and I'm knackered!

Last week I worked 3 and a half days - my busiest week yet! I was at the same school for 3 days and it certainly was a mixed 3 days. I taught year 5 and 3, both of which seemed to be lovely year groups/classes, but I also taught year 4 which was a nightmare. I taught 2 different year 4 classes, both of which were very difficult. I had to deal with a racist incident in one class before I'd even taken the register! I told my agency never to send me to year 4 at this school again! It's amazing how different it can be between year groups even at the same school! I'm going back there this week for one day but to the nice year 5 class so hopefully it will be a nice day. I also spent another day last week at an infant school, in year 2 and Reception. I am definitely finding KS1/EYFS easier in terms of workload. I even left the school at 3:10! Unheard of! I don't think I am suited to teach KS1 full time, but it is nice to be doing it for experience this term.

Yesterday I went out in London and had at least 5 drinks, but managed to not get too drunk. My boyfriend had his work's leaving do and we met up with him at about 11, and he was very drunk. It wasn't an amazing night but any night out is better than none!

I really need to get back onto my diet/exercising routine again. Last year I managed to drop 2 dress sizes, but since coming back from holiday in August I have had no motivation whatsoever to loose weight. I dread weighing myself! I just need some motivation to get started!

Right, I'm going to try not to fall asleep before 9pm tonight! I may spend my time browsing on Twinkl - I really want to sign up for the premium account but not sure if it is worth it - opinions please?!

What I've been wearing - aztec autumn

Hello!

Time for my first outfit post! Even though I own a proper camera, I'm afraid these pics were taken on an iphone in the Primark changing rooms! I find that I never have time in the morning to take pictures before I leave the house. So this was a very improvised picture taking session!

So - the outfit. I am most definitely a Primark junkie and most of the outfit is Primark. The tights, skirt, scarf, socks and boots are all from Primark. They were all purchased within the last 2 weeks so still in store at the moment. The crop top and cardigan are both from Forever 21. I've never really bought much from them, but my friend showed me a gorgeous mustard jumper from them and I loved it, so went and got the cardigan version. I pieced this outfit together on the first chilly Autumn morning. It kept me warm all day!

Weekly write up number 5

Why do I bother saying this will happen on a Sunday?! I never have time! I honestly don't know how I will maintain this blog. Even though I have only been working part time over the last few weeks, I feel like I barely have time to create any content. I've always loved the idea of having my own blog, but I don't feel like I have the discipline to keep it up :( I am going to try, but I really doubt it is going to be a fashion/beauty blog as I never have time to take photos! So far this blog has been far more work orientated. But then that has been my life recently!

So, big things have happened for me in the past few days. On Friday I received an email from my old head teacher asking if I would consider coming back to cover a maternity leave. I went in yesterday to discuss it, and decided that I was going to return. Now it was my intention to do supply for the foreseeable future, to try and find a nice new school to work in. However, I have not enjoyed all of the supply work I have done so far, and I just don't think it's right for me. I wanted to look for a full time position starting after xmas, but when I was offered this, it just seemed so easy. No interview/application, I know all the people/routines and it is so close to home. My boyfriend is no longer working so having a guaranteed income again is definitely needed! Whether it was the right thing to do or not, I won't know until I start. So I only have 3 more weeks doing supply now. Annoyingly I had the most amazing day today in a year 5 class - typical! Just after I thought I would hate supply.

Last week I only worked 2 days, both in a Reception class. Boy that was interesting! There was an amazing TA who led phonics (I had no idea!) and I taught a rather interesting PE lesson! But they basically spent all afternoon playing and I didn't know what to do! I actually got bored and was clock watching for the first time in my teaching career. It got to 3:30 and there was no marking to do, and I didn't know what to do! I quickly learnt that I could never be a Reception teacher though. I can't deal with the fussing, crying and not being able to share! I know they are young, but I am definitely a KS2 teacher!

Finally, on a non work related topic, last week me and my friend Sophie went to Thorpe park. We made the most of going on a school day and there were barely any queues! It was such a lovely day and we managed to go on all of the rides we wanted to, some several times.

Bye for now
