50th post - an old quiz updated!

Hello,

I realised that this would be my 50th post, so decided to do something different. I used to love doing 'questionnaire' style quizes back in the day, and remember posting them regularly on my myspace or bebo page! Now I don't even know if I have these pages any more, so I went on facebook and found the oldest quiz I did on there, which was from 2nd September 2007. I got facebook in 2007 just before I went to uni, so my life has changed so so much since then. So today I am going to copy and paste one of the quizes below, and update my answers. My 2015 answers are going to be written in red after my 2007 answers. Let's see how much I've changed!

If I looked in your trunk, what would I find?
Karls old carpet that doubles up as a town with roads etc that you drive toy cars around (its difficult to describe but you would know it if you saw it!) also a tyre jack and a random block of wood. 2015 - A bag of old clothes to give to my mum to sell, plus my Miss Viertel hessian bag with some guided reading books in it. Plus the usual pink bucket with de-icer in it!

A load of rubbish! There's a box of old shoes, old laptops, a pair of roller skates and other bits that I think I've long forgotton about!

Something that happened today that has made you mad?
The conversation outside during the BBQ! It really proved how different men and women are!
Tescos not having any raspberry magnums left, so trying to go to Morrisons for some and thinking it was shut (I realise today has been a pretty good day if this is the thing that made me mad!)

May half term fun in Cornwall

Hello!

So it's currently half term, and I normally spend every May half term writing reports. It's now Thursday evening and so far I haven't written a single one - eek! I swear I will start them tomorrow! The main reason is because as soon as school finished on Friday I drove down to Bath to see my brother. However, everyone else seemed to be travelling down South too, as it took me 5 hours to get there (normally less than 3). Still, when I got there, we went straight to our favourite restaurant in Bath, Turtle Bay, and had some yummy food and cocktails. We then went to a bar/club called The Nest where my brother's flatmates work, and we drank wine and danced until they closed, and we even stayed for a lock in afterwards! It was a great night, even if I did drink too much!

The next day I carried on my journey down to Cornwall and again the roads were packed - it took 6 hours! As soon as I got to my mum's place, I got changed and we went to the Tunes in the Dunes festival in Perranporth. It's a brand new festival and we only had Saturday tickets, but it was lovely. The stage was actually on the beach which was a strange experience but great. We went because Status Quo were head lining and they were amazing. This was only my 2nd time seeing them but my mum has seen them countless times. It was nice to go to a gig where I wasn't the only one dancing and jumping around - my mum was too!

I have loads of work to do over half term and stupidly, I left my laptop charger at home. So I went to buy a new laptop (as my one desperately needs replacing!) and the next day had to return it as it was faulty. So I had to cut my trip short so I could come back to do some work. I did manage to fit in a walk in Padstow which is shown in the pictures below. I also stopped in Bath again on the way back to see my Brother.

Half term is nearly over and I will probably spend the next 3 days working, but I had a lovely few days in the South west and now really miss it there!

Yummy fish and chips!

It's nice to mum so happy

Have you ever seen a stage on a sand dune?!

Why I'm not blogging at the minute

Hello,

I just wanted to write a post to explain why I am not blogging at the minute. I know there aren't many people who read my blog, but in case anyone is there I thought I should explain why I have stopped. There are 3 main reasons why I am not blogging at the moment.
The first reason is simply time. Being a primary teacher means I regularly work 10 hour days, plus on Sundays. Any time I got I am busy teaching, planning, assessing and marking. Then when I do have free time I am generally knackered and the last thing I feel like doing is writing more. I find it very difficult to take pictures too, especially outfit pictures, so if I forget to do that then I'm unlikely to blog.
The second reason I haven't blogged much recently is because I have found a new hobby - Project Life. It's basically a way of scrapbooking, but made much easier as you have pages with given segments, so you just slot photos in with embellished cards. I used to love scrapbooking but always found filling a 12 x 12 page so difficult, so this has made documenting my life much easier. Of course with my new hobby, it is taking any free time I did have.
The final reason and the most painful one is that 2 weeks ago I lost my dad. He died completely unexpectedly of a heart attack. He was only 59 and was fit and healthy, so as you can imagine I have been in complete shock. I don't want to dwell on it on here, but it's been very difficult for a number of reasons. The funeral is on Thursday so I'm going down to Cornwall tomorrow. I know it is going to be very hard. So yeah, trying to be normal and post on here has completely been thrown off.

I do want to try and start blogging again, so hopefully when things return to normal (as much as they can) I will get back into it again.

Weekly write up no. 7

Hello!

I may have missed a few weeks! To be honest I doubt I will keep up the weekly write ups. So this may be my last one. I would much rather put my time and energy into making outfit posts!

I will just do a quick round up of the week. Half term has been lovely. It was nice to have a lie in each day, and even better that I got to spend time with my mum and brother, which is very rare.

Monday - Me and Paul went into school to start sorting out my new classroom. I like things set out in a certain way, so I wanted to get started on it. We were there for a few hours and had dominos with the SLT!

Tuesday - Travelled to Bath which took ages (the M4 was closed so we had to take a detour through lots of random villages) but when we finally got there I got to have lunch with my mum and brother. We looked around for a bit, then my mum had to leave, so me Paul and Karl (my brother) spent at least 6 hours sat in his living room watching random films and tv shows. At about 10:30pm we ordered another dominos!

Wednesday - Me and Paul went to Bristol and had to wait ages for a park and ride bus. When we got into town we had a lovely Nandos then looked around the shops. I bought a few things and spent far too much money in Primark! In the evening, me, Paul and Karl dressed up and went to a rock club in Bath called Discord for a fun night of drinking and dancing. Some mosh pit action included!!

Thursday - We travelled back home and in the evening me and my friend Becky went to London for the Company bloggers style the highstreet event. It was great! We had a few drinks, ate snacks, watched the fashion show and left with a goodie bag! I'm going to do a separate blog post on it very soon.

Friday - Me and Paul went into school again, and I spent about 5 hours sorting out my classroom. It's still not done! I would have liked to stay longer but school shut at 4. I have a few more display bits to put up, but I'm feeling much happier with how it looks now.

Saturday - We went to Bromley for a small shopping trip. I wanted some trainers in Primark, but no luck. I did buy a few pieces which I will blog about today. I spent the evening doing some work, so at least I feel a bit more organised about the week ahead.

Sunday - I placed a huge New Look order on Friday and it was delivered today. Sadly I decided to return most of it, so we went to Bluewater to do that. I also went to the gym on the way home. I should be going 3 times a week, but I never manage it when I lack a work schedule. Hopefully I will get back on track soon!

So that's a round up of my week. Like I said, I may not do any more of these posts but we'll see!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Tonight I'm just chilling at home, but on Wednesday night, me, my brother and boyfriend went out to our annual Halloween night out at Discord in Bath (it's an amazing rock club!). I thought I'd share our costumes on here. I paid just under £50 for 3 matching costumes, which isn't too bad considering I spend £45 on one outfit last year! We went as zombie chefs, well my brother was a zombie butcher. I do love dressing up for Halloween!
