Night out in River Island pastels

Hello!

Last night I went on a night out for the first time in about a month. Me and my friend Becky went out, and although we normally just get drunk in Spoons, this time we decided to try a bar/club. I hadn't really eaten and drank a whole bottle of wine, so we ended the night by midnight with a Chinese! It was a nice night though, and this is what I wore.

The top and skirt were bought with the Grazia 25% off voucher a few weeks ago. I think they look cute paired together, and although this isn't my usual 'edgy' night out style, I really do love the pastel colours together.  The shoes were from River Island last year, and are a genuinely comfy pair of heels. They are still selling these in other colours, but not in gold anymore (as far as I know).

May half term fun in Cornwall

Hello!

So it's currently half term, and I normally spend every May half term writing reports. It's now Thursday evening and so far I haven't written a single one - eek! I swear I will start them tomorrow! The main reason is because as soon as school finished on Friday I drove down to Bath to see my brother. However, everyone else seemed to be travelling down South too, as it took me 5 hours to get there (normally less than 3). Still, when I got there, we went straight to our favourite restaurant in Bath, Turtle Bay, and had some yummy food and cocktails. We then went to a bar/club called The Nest where my brother's flatmates work, and we drank wine and danced until they closed, and we even stayed for a lock in afterwards! It was a great night, even if I did drink too much!

The next day I carried on my journey down to Cornwall and again the roads were packed - it took 6 hours! As soon as I got to my mum's place, I got changed and we went to the Tunes in the Dunes festival in Perranporth. It's a brand new festival and we only had Saturday tickets, but it was lovely. The stage was actually on the beach which was a strange experience but great. We went because Status Quo were head lining and they were amazing. This was only my 2nd time seeing them but my mum has seen them countless times. It was nice to go to a gig where I wasn't the only one dancing and jumping around - my mum was too!

I have loads of work to do over half term and stupidly, I left my laptop charger at home. So I went to buy a new laptop (as my one desperately needs replacing!) and the next day had to return it as it was faulty. So I had to cut my trip short so I could come back to do some work. I did manage to fit in a walk in Padstow which is shown in the pictures below. I also stopped in Bath again on the way back to see my Brother.

Half term is nearly over and I will probably spend the next 3 days working, but I had a lovely few days in the South west and now really miss it there!

Yummy fish and chips!

It's nice to mum so happy

Friday night at spoons

Hello!

After the week I had at work last week, a group of us decided to hit the pub for some much needed alcohol! We were just going to spoons, so I didn't want to dress like I was going clubbing, so I settled on this outfit. Rocking my AC/DC top and leather mini skirt with a check shirt to keep it casual. I had a lovely night, felt comfortable and got quite drunk! Wetherspoons sell Porn Star Martinis now - yes!!!

Company Bloggers Style the High Street event

On Thursday, me and my friend Becky went to Company magazine's event - Bloggers style the high street. I love Company magazine's re-design and I'm so disappointed that it's no longer being published. I also love reading fashion blogs, so this event sounded perfect for me! I don't actually read any of the blogs written by the chosen bloggers, but I do shop in some of the high street shops that were being featured, particularly ASOS, River Island and Primark.

We arrived at the Tobacco Docks in London just after 6:30 and queued for a little while to get in. The venue itself was amazing! A beautiful, old building lit by purple lights - it looked magical! As part of our ticket price (£25) we got a vodka drink, so me and Becky drank those while watching other people enter and eyeing up the vast array of fashion on show from the other guests.

After a while we went upstairs and collected a glass of wine (also included in the price) and went into the main fashion show room. We didn't know what table we were on, but neither did quite a lot of other people. We were sat near the back, but I could just about see! At our table we had a range of breads, cheese and meat which was a bonus! I was shocked to discover that on our table was Laura from ThePixie Cut! I only built up the courage to talk to her at the end of the event but she was lovely!

The show itself was good. Admittedly there were things I didn't like, but I was impressed with the majority of outfits on show. The highlight of the show for me was definitely the evening wear by Primark. It's just so affordable but still looks great. I also spotted an amazing green dress but I can not for the life of me remember which shop it was from! I was also very impressed with some of the capes on show from M&S. I really am loving my capes at the moment!

The show ended by 9:30 and it seemed that a lot of people left then. Me and Becky went into the 'club' area and personally I didn't enjoy the music, but we did enjoy the fact that they were giving out ice cream! I had a tub of lovely toffee ice cream with caramel sauce - yum! We were both quite tired so decided to leave soon after this. We collected our goodie bags, and wow - very impressed! I have received some goodie bags in the past that contained only 5/6 items, but this one had about 15! I won't use everything, but there are a few things I will definitely be trying out. Me and Becky looked through the bags on the train home, and I swapped a bottle of fake tan for an extra bag of apple crisps!

Overall, we both really enjoyed the night. It was a different night out for the both of us. 2 drinks were enough, although I could have drunk another glass of wine! I have included some pictures below, but I only had my iPhone on me, and I didn't really manage to get any good pictures of the show. The show was inspiring and I love the fact that all of the items are affordable and on sale now. It was nice to look at everyone else's clothes, as well as meet a blogger who I really like! I wouldn't hesitate to going to another event like this again. Thanks Company!
